Will post more soon. Been mainly posting to Facebook.
So Obama has selected Delware Senator Joe Biden as his running mate. Can’t say that his selection will in any way change my mind on voting in favor for him. Biden is nearly as liberal as Obama and I disagree with him on 99% of the issues. The only thing I can say about Biden is that at least he does have experience.
I am quite suprised that Obama didn’t go for Clinton. I know that he doesn’t get along with Bill and so forth but a Obama/Clinton ticket would have been a lot harder to beat than Obama/Biden will be.
So now we should learn sometime this week who McCain is going to select to be his running mate. There is still a lot of dicuss about Liberman being his selection. As I have previously mentioned while Joe Liberman is far more Liberal than I like I do like the man and believe that on the most vital issues such as National Security that his head is in the right place. In addition I find that I trust Liberman.
What about Romney? Does Mitt have a chance to be selected? I doubt it. McCain and he do not have a good relationship. And while Romney could help McCain’s weakest spot (the economy) I think that many people just don’t trust him for some reason.
I seriously doubt that we would see any other former candidates in the spot either. Personally Thompson while a good pick, he didn’t really even want to be President much less Vice. That plus he is getting up there in years like McCain and McCain needs to pick a younger running mate.
My pick for McCain would be someone like J.C. Watts or Tom Tancredo.
So for those of you that have read this blog off and on and know my stance on things from before my last blog reboot know that I am conservative and Libertarian. You may also know that I have really been fighting over who to vote for once it came clear that McCain and Obama where to two on the ticket. Obama talks a great talk, I will give him that. But aside from his speach giving abilities I am almost 100% against his beliefs. As I said I am a conservative, libertarian and hard core capatalist. Obama is a socalist, marxist and I believe closet commie. Then you have McCain. Yes he is a war hero. Yes he has taken a stance against the new aggresssion from Russia and he is strong on National Defense but he has been a “Tax Em” and far more socialistic on economic issues than I can happily live with.
McCain does have experience, something Obama doesn’t have. But still at this point if I voted for McCain it would certainly be because I was voting for the lesser of two evils. Something I hate doing with my vote. In the past I have voted for Ross Perot, Allen Keyes, and Michael Badnarik so as you can tell I am not one who often votes for someone just because I know that they will win. I vote for those that I feel have the best idea, not those that are sure wins.
That being said right now my vote is leaning towards Bob Barr (http://www.bobbarr2008.com/about/). Mr. Barr is the 2008 Libertarian nominee for President of the United States. He is strong on family rights, gun rights, small government, lower taxes and individualism. And right now he is the only candidate that I can stand behind knowing that I am not voting for just because he is the lesser of two evils.
The only thing that might change my mind is dependant on who McCain gets as his running mate. There is rumor that he may select Joe Lieberman. Though Joe Lieberman stands far to the left from me on many, many issues I have always felt that he is a good man. A man that I can trust. He has also proven himself to be big on the defense of this nation. Something that I do not feel we can skimp on this day and age. Even though even Joe Lieberman wasn’t enough to have ever gotten me to vote for Al Gore back in the 2000 elections when he was on that ticket, I often have said that if Mr. Lieberman ran for President on his own ticket that I would consider him. I don’t know exactly what it is about the man but he has my respect. That is something I rarely say about a liberal politician.
If it did end up being a McCain/Lieberman ticket honestly I would have to reconsider McCain. Honestly though I don’t think it will happen. And even if it does I am still not 100% sure I would change my vote. So for the time being I am behind Bob Barr 100%.
So I took advantage of the new RAF deal that Blizzard has going and doing some RAF boosting. Pretty much you get 300% XP while grouped. It makes some inanely quick leveling. For example I started three new Shaman on Sunday and I already have them to level 28 after just a couple hours played. Last night I was using my 61 Shaman to power level the lowbies through quest and I was dinging left and right.
As I meantioned my main hobby right now is multi-boxing. That is to say that I control multiple characters in the game at the same time. I usually 3-4 box, but sometimes 5 box as well, that is to say I control up to 5 characters at a single time using a program known as Keyclone which is a legit program that Blizzard has okayed. Pretty much what Keyclone allows me to do is create a bunch of macros so I can make my alts cast at the same time my main does. Pretty much little can stand up against say 4 lightning bolts at the same time.
A lot of people think that multiboxing is ezmode. It is not. You have to be able to watch up to 5 windows at a time and have very good situational awareness. It is not for the weak of heart to say the least.
Multiboxers are usually players that have grown to think that the game is too easy so they add extra characters to control to make it harder on themselves. Also often they are people that don’t want to play with random strangers or that just don’t have time to sit around trying to get a pick up group together.
My main boxing team will eventually be 5 shaman, though I am also working on a 5 Moonkin Druid group as well.

I think it has been about two months now since I last blogged. During that time I celebrated my tenth year of marraige to my lovely wife Kim. In addition I have had a bad case of Strep Throat, woohoo. Danielle continues to grow like a weed and as she nears her 3rd birthday she is almost as tall as many kids that are 5.
On the gaming front I got back into World of Warcraft again, suprised, I am sure you aren’t. My latest project has been multiboxing a bunch of Shaman under the new Refer-A-Friend deal. I should have a few more 60s by the end of the month and hopefully about a total of 10 level 70s by the time the next expansion comes out most likely this November.
On the political front I am stilll scared to death of the choices we have for this fall’s election. Both Obama and McCain scare me. Obama scares me a bit more with his Marxist ideas but McCain isn’t a poster boy for the Conservative movement by any stretch of the imagination.
After years and years of saying how Russia would be back flexing their muscles it looks like I was right as they once again position themselves to be the counter towards the west. Georgia may have been first but Poland may be next.
Yeah I have missed a bunch of topics by not blogging the past few months. Looks like I have some catching up to do.
As usual I am returning again from a blogging break. I am starting the site over fresh again. So welcome back and enjoy your stay.
